How do I reduce an image's file size without losing quality?
Use a quality of 70 to 85, which usually looks the same as the original. Capping the width or height often saves even more than lowering quality.
Can I compress PNG images?
Yes. PNG output stays lossless; for much smaller files, convert to WebP or AVIF, which keep transparency.
Why is my compressed image the same size?
If re-encoding would make an image bigger, the original is kept and marked as already optimal.
