How do I check the SHA-256 checksum of a file?

Click Hash a file, choose the download, and paste the published SHA-256 into Compare with. The tool tells you whether they match.

Is MD5 still secure?

No. MD5 and SHA-1 are fine for spotting accidental changes but are broken for security uses. Use SHA-256 or stronger for anything that matters.

What is HMAC?

HMAC combines a hash with a secret key, so only someone with the key can produce or check the value. It's widely used to sign API requests and webhooks.

Are my files uploaded to be hashed?
